Review:
3.5*/4* read.
 Big Talking Man is book 2 in the Kings of Castle Beach series by Marquita, but can be read as a standalone. My opinion is that you should read book 1 first or you will be a bit lost with the characters. If you've read the first book then you'll have already met Quinn and the rest of her family and got to know them all a bit which helps when reading this book.
The reason for my in the middle rating was the fact that I didn't massively connect to Quinn. Tate I loved, he made this book for me but Quinn I found annoying at times aswell as not connecting to her which kind of made it hard to invest in these to as a couple. For her age I felt that she needed to grow up and stop acting like the teenager she isn't, she was so immature to the point of been really very annoying. For the first time ever I actually didn't want them to be together as I just didnt believe in them as a couple and yet I just completly adored Tate. It was a really mixed book for me as you can see.
While I didn't love Quinn I did enjoy the book and the storyline and of course I loved Tate. I will definatly be reading more as I did love the first book in this series I just think I had a bit of a personality clash with Quinn which knocked this book for me.

“I’d rather you drop off the face of the earth. Oh wait, you already did that… At least we can agree you are a fool.”
Guilt surges, hitting me square in the chest. “I’m guilty, but I’d like the chance to tell you my side of the story.”
Those silver orbs of hers shift away, as if the memory of what I’d done hurts too much. “I don’t see why you can’t share on the way to town instead of at dinner tomorrow.”
“Because it’s going to take a hell of a lot longer than twenty minutes, Quinn, and you already agreed. Don’t go back on your word.”
“I’m a King. We don’t play those kind of bullshit games with people.”
I stride to my car, opening the passenger side door. “Grab your keys and whatever else, and get in.”
She stands there for a moment, a proud, gorgeous vision of a woman. My mouth goes dry. She radiates power and vulnerability, a true juxtaposition.
But that’s Quinn.
That’s one of the reasons I fell in love with her. It’s also why I can’t let her have the upper hand in this. “I want to renegotiate.”
“What?” she says, clearly annoyed. “You don’t want to have dinner with me?”
“Oh, I do, but I want it to be the first date of many for the next month.”
“The next month?”
My grip tightens on the steering wheel, and I force myself to loosen it. “I want your word now, Quinn. I want you to agree to give our marriage a shot over the next thirty days. I’m all in. I want you to be, too.”
“Just like that.” She snaps her fingers.
“Absolutely.” I sneak a glance at her. She’s regarding me with anger, confusion, and another emotion that I’m certain is hope contorting her face. “I dare you to take me on.”
Her lips purse, brows rising. “I dare you to win me back. If you don’t, you’ll sign the divorce papers.”
“Challenge accepted. “At the next light, we shake hands.

Review
5* read.
I don't usually do cliffhanger books as I'm to impatient, I need to know everything right there and then but I do make an exception for some books. I think this is probably one of a few authors whose books I will read with cliffhanger endings, mainly because there's never a massive gap between releases so there's not to long of a wait. Another reason is I just love this authors work so whenever's theres a new release I need it straight away, usually I don't even need to read the blurb I just know straight away it will be a great read. She writes duets in a perfect way that you cant help but fall in love with everything and be in awe of her brilliant writing.
I actually don't want to say anything at all about the story or the characters as the brilliant thing with this book is the first hand experience of reading it and knowing nothing. Its pact full of drama and suspense and a complete rollercoaster of a journey with relateable characters who you instanly connect to. It is a must read, dont read reviews that tell you about the book just read it yourself and enjoy all the feels of reading everything with a clear mind.
 This author writes romantic suspense in her own unique addictive style of writing that you immediantly get pulled into. I can't wait to see what happens in book 2.

Review:
5* read. 
This is book 3 in The Boys of Jackson Harbor series. They are all standalones and so can be read seperate but in my opinion you need to read them from book 1, just because they're that good. This is one of those series' where I've loved every single book and couldn't wait for the next one.
This is Levi Jackson's book and if you have read the other books in this series like me then you will have already caught glimpses of him. I loved Levi from the start. He has this whole protective alpha about him but also this really sweet side. Its hard to write this review as I want to keep it completly spoiler free but the way he was towards Ellie when she was hurt (thats not a spoiler as it explains that in the blurb) was addictive to read. I loved the chemistry and the back and forwards tug between the pair of them and the almost uncertain aspect of their feelings and relationship. Ellie I just felt so sorry for and what she's been through, but I also found myself shouting at my kindle a couple of times for her to open her eyes and see whats in front of her.
I felt so many emotions in this book, completly heartbreaking emotions and thats a true credit to this author for writing such compelling relatable charcters who make you feel everything. This was such a jam pact rollercoaster of read that had so many ups and downs and such brilliant writing that I didn't want it to end. I can't wait for the rest of this series.

The man searches my face. “That’s why you won’t come home. You’re afraid of Colton.” “I don’t want anything to do with that life.” He exhales heavily and rolls his shoulders back, as if he’s trying to shake off a ghost. “That’s not fair to the rest of us. To everyone who loves you, everyone who was sick with worry when they put you into that coma. Not. Fucking. Fair.” I shrug. “Maybe losing a child and almost dying has made me a little selfish.” His gaze drifts down to my stomach, and I cover it with my hand without thinking. “I’m sorry about the baby.” I nod, tears springing to my eyes. “Me too.” So sorry. “I understand if you want to live here now, but don’t cut us out. We all lost something that night.” “Did you?” He narrows his eyes. “You think I didn’t care? That this was all some game to me, and losing you was nothing?” I wrap my arms around my chest, as if the pressure might weaken this force pulling me toward him by the solar plexus, this inexplicable need to be closer and let him wrap me in his arms. “Losing me? When was I ever yours to lose?” He jerks his gaze away from me, slides off his stool, and downs the rest of his beer. “Thanks. I guess that clears up where we stand after everything.” I open my mouth to apologize but swallow the words and meet his steady gaze. Then he backs away and grabs his bags off the bar. He pulls an envelope from his pocket and hands it to me. “I was going to leave this for you with the barista next door, but I guess I can save myself the trouble.” “What is it?” I ask, staring at the crisp black calligraphy that reads Ellie Courdrey. “An invitation to Ava and Jake’s wedding. Despite what you seem to think of me, I’m not fucking my future sister-in-law.” “Their wedding?” He nods. “They thought about canceling after everything, but . . .” He stares at me for a long beat. “They decided to put love first.” That feels like a jab. At me? At them? I don’t know. “I don’t want to go back there.” “Maybe it’s not always about what you want.” He shrugs as if it’s no different to him either way, but I can tell by the tension in his shoulders that it matters a lot. He steps forward—too close—and I let him, closing my eyes at his scent. Then a flash. He’s over me. The weight of him presses into my hips, his calloused hands holding my face, his fingers in my hair. “You’re sure?” I nod. Slide my hands down his back and lift my hips. “Yes.
