Mini I Love You Mum fruit cakes

The other week I was lucky enough to win a competition on https://www.facebook.com/TreatHer.Gifts. The prize was these 2 gorgeous mini I Love You Mum Cakes.  

I was really happy when I won this, my mum loves fruit cake. I have found in the past though that if you buy fruit cakes like this they can sometimes be really dry. This wasn’t, you could tell from the first bite that it was made with the finest ingredients and it wasn’t dry at all. They were beautifully presented as you can see from the pictures, almost too good to eat. I have to admit when I gave them to my mum she was blown away and said “well I can’t eat that, it’s too pretty to eat.” It didn’t take her long to tuck in though and she said it was one of the nicest tasting fruit cakes she’s had. I was really surprised at how well presented they were, and still tasted great.
