This is the first book in the new Bayshore Billionaires series and therefore can be read as a standalone, although some characters from other books by this author do pop up.

This is Megan and Jameson's story which blends a lot of different tropes in one (best friends sister, fake fiancé, billionaire, etc). It's quite a slow burn romance (due to Jameson's challenge) but from the start you can literally for the chemistry and sexual tension burning off the pages. It does really build up their connection and story more. I don't usually enjoy slow burn romances but it fitted perfectly for this story and watching Megan grow as a person throughout this book was really fun to read.

I really loved this story and can't wait to find out what challenges his other siblings have to do.

I'm obsessed with this author. Her work is pure gold dust and I always know that I won't be able to put the book down till I've read every last page. Also if you don't know this author then her name itself is usually a warning for what your about to read. Very very dark, gritty, and angst filled. 

I loved War and Halen and their relationship, the push and pull between them, but also the interactions with the other characters. The toxic angst between them added to the fire and passion. The reason it lost half a mark was because at times it felt slightly rushed, there was a bit to much going on that I got a bit confused and had to re read it. That been said the characters (all of them) made this book a great read and I really enjoyed going back into this world.

I do want to end this review by saying I really loved this book. But just because I personally loved it doesn't mean everyone will, everyone is different. It also doesn't mean I'm going to call anyone for not liking it or that I'm a liar for writing a 4.5 star review (as I've seen other people on here call readers). Personally for me it was worth these stars, but I actually found myself not wanting to put that incase I was called a liar (like others have been called). Readers shouldn't be made to feel wrong for been honest (good or bad). And whether I got a arc or not I will never just write high stars unless I felt it deserved it. So maybe think before you call everyone liars.

Rant over, I can't wait for the next book in this series.

I really do enjoy reading this authors work. I know before I even pick up the book that I'm going to fall in love with characters and connect with them in a way that I get dragged into their story. That's just how much of a brilliant writer Melanie is.
This has a mix of enemies to lovers, small town romance, marriage of convenience (all the things I love in one book). Lexi is desperately trying to hold onto her family's ski resort (even though her Gran wants to sell it), and Devlin is working for the company that's trying to buy it. Lexi and Devlin first meet without knowing who the other one is. The connection and chemistry between them is instant, and their banter really makes you belly laugh.
Another great addition to this series, I really enjoyed getting Lexi and Devlin's story. I'm so excited for the next book in this series.

5* read. I've been really looking forward to Shane's story after seeing glimpses of him in past books. He had the whole jerky lonesome bad boy vibe which I just fell in love with. I had to have his story and find out who the girl was going yo be who could break into his walls. That girl is Jolie. Jolie was the perfect match for Shane. She didn't take any cr** from him and really give him a run for his money with the banter and jibes she gave back. Their chemistry from the first time they meet (even though she looks a complete mess) was fire, and that follows throughout the book. I also loved seeing glimpses of past characters again from other books/series, and watching them interact with these two. Another well wrote book by one of my new favourite authors, I can't wait for the next book and to see what we get next.

I'm literally obsessed with this series. I know once I start that I won't be able to put it down, nor do I want to be disturbed while I'm reading it.

Genesis and Kye are destined to be since they first meet when they're kids. It's a shame Kye didn't pull his head out of his a** sooner, but then I guess if he did then he wouldn't have Jagger.
I don't usually enjoy reading love triangles or anything like that, so if I had to change one thing it would be how much of the book Bowie actually took up. That been said you could see why it had to be like that, and also where the story was going to. I was just so desperate for Genesis and Kye to be together that I was impatient regarding Bowies involved. You could feel the chemistry between them even when they weren't together so you just wanted to give them both a shake.
You didn't get to see as much of the rest of the characters from past books in this one, or Kye's "family" as they're known, but the glimpses we did see I loved. There also isn't as much of the mafia side seen in general, again that's not a bad thing at all, it's just slightly different to past books.
I can't wait for Scorched, Fawn and Garretts book, and to actually see how they end up together. Roll on next month.

I love this author, and I love this book. Kelly and Xander are the perfect match and their chemistry made for a swoon worthy read.

I haven't actually read a bodyguard romance for a long time so I really enjoyed getting stuck into a completly different genre to what I've been reading recently. I love a couple who can have good banter with each other, and Kelly and Xander have this great banter that just makes you laugh out loud on numerous occasions.

A great small town romance read. I can't wait for the next book by this amazing author.
