Title: A Love so Tragic
Author: Stevie J. Cole
Genre: Contemporary/Second Chance Romance
Release Date: February 15, 2016

Blurb

Promises.
We all make them. Sometimes we break them. But what happens when the promise you break haunts your dreams, when that moment of betrayal echoes within every last beat of your heart?

Love.
Love is passionate, painful, and all consuming in the most brutal yet beautiful way. How many people have you said 'I love you' to? Five, ten, maybe no one? I've said that word to two men, but only one where I felt it.

Tragic.
This word sums up my relationship with Nicolas: devastating, painful, depressing.
A first love that should have lasted a lifetime, but I ruined with a stupid decision. Shakespeare would refer to Nicolas as my star crossed lover, and I should know that stories such as ours always end in tragedy, but even with that, I can't not love him, even if I'm married to someone else.

REVIEW

5* read.
I have to admit I was dubious when I first went to pick this book up as I didn't think id be able to connect with the character but luckily this author blew any doubts away. its hard to write this review without giving away spoilers so I'll make it short and sweet. this is a second chance romance but full of drama, angst, and a heart wrenching journey that'll keep you addictive throughout. Nic and Peyton's story starts in high school and from then we get their heartbreaking story. Id loved their connection and their rollercoaster of a ride they take. Great read, I look forward to more epic stories from this author.

Title: Faking It
Author: J.D. Hollyfield
Release Date: Feb 1, 2016
Find on Goodreads
Fake it till you make it.
That’s Lexi Hall, the wild socialite’s motto for how to live life.
Single and allergic to commitment, Lexi is having the time of her life.  Or is she? With a new promotion at the art gallery, and her colorful lifestyle as bright as ever, she swears she has no interest in slowing down. When Lexi receives a phone call that can change her career, she pounces on the opportunity. But what this outgoing diva doesn’t plan for is her new client, the closed off, secluded artist, Hunter James. Fighting to draw the line between work and pleasure, it’s up to Lexi to figure out how to balance her fake life for something real.
Hunter James is an artist without a muse. Lacking the beauty in his life that he craves, his art is beginning to suffer.  Unfortunately for the mysterious artist, a past mistake also tarnishes his trust in women. Forced to take a meeting with an art gallery dealer, he accepts knowing he’ll turn her down. He turns them all down.  But what he doesn’t anticipate is for the seductive bombshell to turn his world upside down.  As his body and mind come alive, he vows to stop at nothing to have her on his canvas and in his bed.
As Lexi’s life begins to brighten with the promise of something beautiful, can she stop faking it and find a reason to make it real? Or will Hunter’s past replace their light with darkness?
We haven’t been up in the friendly skies for more than a few minutes before Hunter begins to unclip his seat belt. “I need you to come to the bathroom with me?”
“Why? They don’t like too many people standing in the aisle, you know.”
“You won’t be standing in the aisle. Let’s go.” I’m looking at him strangely. Until it sinks in. “Why exactly do you want me to go with you?”
“Because I can’t stand it any longer,” he whisper-growls. “I need to take you into the bathroom and make them think I am fucking you senseless so these vultures know you’re with me. Get up, let’s go.” He snaps his belt off and attempts to stand.
I pull his shoulder down so he falls back into his seat. “Hunter, we can’t both go into the bathroom and do any of that. It’s illegal.” And I also refuse to admit why I know that.
“It’s not. I’m sure people still do it all the time. Up you go.” His pupils are beginning to dilate and I know he is serious.  The poor man has been festering about the non-competition on each side of us since we took off.
“Hunter.” Turning my body toward him, I take my hands and cup his face. I raise my voice so my words are dramatized and so that the two meat cakes on each side of us can hear. “I know you are aching to do so many dirty things to me, but my sores aren’t gone yet. The doctor said we should wait. We don’t want you to get them again, do we?” I tease. I watch the meat cake next to Hunter, scrunch his face and turn away from us. I turn to the aisle and flag down the flight attendant. “Yes, excuse me, do you think I can get some ice? I have some... ya know, blisters... down below, and the ice helps.” I smile while catching the cringing face of my other ex-fan. Mission complete. I offer my attention back to the only person on this plane who I care about. Hunter is stock-still, except for his eyes, which are now as big as saucers. “You realize you just announced to most of the plane that you have genital herpes, right?”
“Yep. And now no one will give me the time of day. I’m all yours.” I wink. Hunter’s expression has dissolved into one of humor, although he is shaking his head at me.
“You amaze me more and more every single second, Lex. And I do believe that if you’re not careful, we will end up searching out those chapels.”
I try to hide the surge of emotions that shoot through my heart.
I bring his mouth to mine and with my lips and my tongue, I offer him the best French kiss ever, convincing him just how little anyone else on this plane matters. And just how much he does.
It takes the flight attendant telling us we’re about to land for us to break away. I don’t lose eye contact with Hunter and I can tell he is appreciative of what I did. He feels like the man in charge. Even if his prize was herpes.
Oops.
REVIEW

I received a ARC in exchange for a honest review.
3.75 * read.
I really struggled with the rating for this book. I enjoyed it but some parts were just lacking for and I felt conflicted about some things like the way they meet and her agreeing to pose for him just so she will get further at work. Hunter just came across as creepy at some points but that is just my own opinion of how I interrupted their story and relationship. What I did love was the friendship between Lexi and Chrissy and towards the end i had warmed to Hunter more. Like i say mixed book for me but defiantly worth a read.

Drama. Lies. Sex.

The weather isn’t the only thing heating up in South Florida. At a school where fraternities and sororities don’t exactly play by the rules, relationships are bound to be tested. Parties and sex are definitely key ingredients in the Palm South recipe, but what happens when family issues, secret lives, and unrequited love get tossed in the mix?

Follow Cassie, Bear, Jess, Skyler, Erin, Ashlei, and Adam as they tackle college at a small, private beach town university. Written in television drama form, each episode of this serial will pull you deeper and deeper into the world of PSU.

Where the sun is hot and the clothes are scarce, anything can happen.
After I finish my first drink and order another, I wander up to the group of guys at the pool table. We play for a little over an hour, drawing an even larger crowd because – clearly – we’re the most fun this joint has seen in a while. I’m cozied up and working on one of the hottest guys in the group when he informs me he has a fiancĂ©.
Wow.
Buzz Killington, ladies and gentlemen.
I hang out with the group a little longer, hoping to move on to a new prospect, but they all head out before I have a chance to seal the deal with any of Mr. I’m-Engaged-But-You-Don’t-Need-To-Know-That-Until-It’s-Clear-You-Expect-To-Sleep-With-Me’s friends. Sighing, I take my place in the same barstool as before and Jarrett slides a fifth drink my way.
I hold up my hands. “I should probably say no this time. It’s almost closing time and I need to drive.”
“Not necessarily,” he offers. I eye him curiously and the corner of his mouth pulls up mischievously. He finishes wiping down a glass and hangs it above his head before leaning across the bar, his minty breath tickling my drunken senses. “You’ve been trying all night to get with that douchebag when I could have told you from the beginning that he wasn’t available. And now, you’re left with an ache between your legs that you don’t want to take care of on your own. So yes, you could drive home, get up and go to work tomorrow and just try again another night. Or,” he pauses, licking his bottom lip and dragging his teeth across the top as his eyes fall to my mouth. “You could give me your keys, jump in my truck, and let me take you back to my place so I can cure you of your current situation.”
Oh hell to the fucking yes.
Keeping my eyes locked on his, I fish my keys from my purse and drop them on the counter, cocking a brow. Jarrett bites his lip as he grabs the keys and shoves them in his pocket.
“Give me five.”
Four and a half minutes later, we’re tangled up in the back seat of his truck. I run my hands down his incredibly cut abdomen and lift his shirt up and over his head as he pulls the straps of my dress down over my shoulders. His lips are hard on mine and his hands run the length of my body until they grip my hips so hard I’m not sure if I should cry out in pain or pleasure.
“Are you sure you don’t want to go back to my place?” he pants, kissing down my neck. My eyes roll back and a moan escapes my lips.
“I think I’d rather see how all that talk holds up in the back of a truck.”

REVIEW
I received a ARC in exchange for a honest review.
4* read.
When I first started this book I thought it was going to be one I couldn't enjoy or connect with as it switches from different characters throughout. That wasn't the case, yes there's a lot of characters compared to any other book I've read but that made it more unique and fun to read something different. It's based at a University and you meet different people and go on their story and journey with them. A lot of dramas and issues and rollercoaster of emotions. I'm looking forward to the next one.

REVIEW

5* read.
This novella is part of the Wild dragons MC series. I've loved this series and it is one my favourite MC series out there. As I'm really picky with my MC reads it takes a lot for me to fall in love with a MC books and this author writes it so well that I can't help getting addicted to the sexy bikers.
Ardan aka Irish and Valentina aka Tina meet in the bar one night and her red wild hair immediately attracts him. She's running from her past and isn't interested in starting something serious especially with a biker but he makes her feel safe and happy which she hasn't felt for awhile. When her past comes back to her will this bad ass biker be there to protect her?
Great addition to this series and I look forward to more from this author.

4.5* read.
Childhood sweethearts Grace and Duke fell in love young and against Graces fathers wishes as he didn't like Duke or his family. When something happens and Duke goes away for a few years Grace is left with more then she ever planned. When Duke comes back will they forgive each other and build a life or will their past ruin their future?
Grace and Duke had an undeniable chemistry even years later and you could really feel it. Both of them have been through so much that their journey really isn't a easy one but as a reader it keeps you gripped.

This is my first book by this author and I'm looking forward to reading more.

4* read.
What Ruthie has been through in her life is heartbreaking and as a reader I felt every emotion she did. Sterling was the perfect match for Ruthie, strong and alpha enough to match Ruthie's personality. I loved how they were friends first and they built up the romance side and how at points through the book they were there for the other one through the real hard times. I found myself invested in their story and gripped till the end wondering what would happen next.
So many ups and downs and a real rollercoaster of a read that will have you gripped throughout.
