That was the only warning we got.

I looked over at her and smiled. She was beautiful, like always. Big doe eyes. Long brown hair that had a slight curl. We’d been together for the last year. When I switched to go to medical school in the States, she was in the same year as me. We dated on and off for that year and the year after, but it was on and off for a reason. 

Then school happened. 

We graduated. 

We went into our specialties, but we decided to try again. 

I was happy that we had. I was happy with her. 

I was just happy. 

She was gorgeous. She was kind. Smart. She liked to tease me with this little sparkle in her eyes. She was also competitive, always pushing to get the best marks on each test and exam. She pushed me to do better, and that was a novel experience for me. I was used to pushing myself. No one in my family was in the medical field. It wasn’t what they did, but me… That was not me. “We should call our families tonight,” I suggested. “Tell them about the engagement.” 

She’d been glaring out the window at the traffic, but when I dropped a kiss on our fingers, she relaxed. 

She turned to me, that sparkle in her eyes. “Oh, you mean I’ll actually get to meet your family? Your very reclusive family that you’ve always said isn’t in the States and out of phone reach?” She was teasing, but sort of not. 

She hadn’t met my family for a reason, but they knew about her. 

Kai had her investigated. And if Kai had any files on her, then I knew Tanner got them as well. He probably had done a couple passes, too. Meaning, that he saw her in physical proximity, he knew her, but she wouldn’t have known who he was. Brooke wasn’t one to be left out. She insisted to overhear a phone call I had with Melissa one time. It was her way of “meeting” her. 

That was my family. 

But it was time. If she was going to marry me, she needed to know what she was marrying into. It was only fair, but once she knew, I’d have to be prepared that she might decide not to be with me—or worse, that she’d say something to someone else. 

I leaned back and shot her a grin. “When you meet them, you’ll know why.” 

The traffic still wasn’t moving forward, and more horns had started to blare. 

I frowned. “You think it’s an accident up there? That’s why we’re stalled?” 

“Oh.” Her smile melted away. 

If someone was hurt, we were supposed to go help. 

Melissa reached for her seatbelt at the same time I did. 

“Open the trunk,” I called as we rounded to the rear of the car. 

She found the button to pop it open, and I saw a first aid kit pushed back in the corner. I grabbed it, shutting the trunk. 

As I did, a guy came walking toward us, past the truck in front of us. Tall. Broad shoulders. White. He was in cowboy boots and a cowboy hat, decked out like a stereotypical cowboy—probably Wrangler jeans and a shirt stolen from the set of an old Clint Eastwood movie. I catalogued all that out of habit. 

He saw me and stopped. 

He looked at Melissa. 

He turned back to me. “You’re Jonah Bennett?” 

I frowned. “Who’s asking?” 

“Do we know you?” Melissa stepped toward him, looking him over. The doctor in her came first, always. “Are you hurt? Is there a car accident back there where you came from—”

The Rhythm Method is A Stage Dive novella featuring  Evelyn and David who have been married for 7 years now. They've both got a set plan that they want to stick too but nothing ever goes to plan does it, and their relationship is severely tested by a surprise pregnancy. I have to say this isn't my favourite book by this author. The writing was great as usual but honestly David was basically a D*** and not in a make you still swoon type of way. Couples go through conflict and ups and downs but the behaviour of David especially was just really immature and had me questioning if I actually wanted them to be together as a couple anymore, which was a shame as I loved their first book.
I did love getting a glimpse of all the Stage Dive characters again and seeing how the families are all getting along after all these years. I enjoyed the catch up with them and reading more from this author but unfortunately this just wasn't for me.

I don't even know where to start with this author. Amo is one of my favourite authors, she writes dark romance like no other. This book isn't for the fainted hearted. It's a beautifully dark and twisted romance pact full of angst, sex and mayhem. What more could you want.
Lilith, Kyrin, and Eli, I never expected to love your story as much as I did. The whole MMF thing is not something I've ever read before, and I certainly didn't expect to love it as much as I did. I also loved the crossovers between the two worlds and seeing past characters. I screamed and cried at points while reading this, so many emotions pact in one book. It's a story that will stay with you way after you've finished it, just like all her other books.
I'm so glad I stumbled across this author all those years ago, and if you've been living under a rock and haven't read anything by her yet, wtf are you waiting for go buy everything she's ever wrote. You won't be disappointed. A brilliant writer she drags you into every book she writes. She could write a genre I hate and I would still read it knowing that she can drag you into her world and entrap you there. Thankyou for letting us readers see a glimpse inside your beautifully dark mind. I Can't wait for more.

The blurb defiantly pulled me in with this one. It really made me want to pick up and read this book, so I was really excited when this landed on my kindle.

When you first start the book you are in the past and get your first introduction to Bella and Calum and how they first met. You then join them 12 years later and that's when the real fun begins. The chemistry between these two was literally smoking off the pages. The push and pull between them, the pure raw pain you feel along with them, you really do go on the journey and go through the emotions with this book.

There was a lot of different things pact into this book and a lot of twists and turns mixed in with pain and heartache and love. It was an intense read and even more thrilling then I expected. I really need the next book like right now.

As it says in the blurb this is the second book in this inter-connected series, but can be read as a standalone. It does say to read in order to get a better reader experience, but I have to admit I didn't do this. This was only because I didn't actually have time to read the first book before getting a review in for this one. I will now defiantly be going back to read the first one and can't wait to get stuck into it.

A new author to me I wasn't sure what to expect with this book but the blurb grabbed my attention so I knew I had to give it a go. Also that cover is hot so who wouldn't want to grab some of that.

College/university romances are one of my favourite genres to read, and this book certainly didn't disappoint. Knox and Willow are complete opposites but also so similar in ways. The chemistry is electric between the two of them and I just loved reading their journey of a story. 

This is a book full of secrets and raw emotion, so much pain. An angsty emotional read, I can't wait to read more from this author.

I have to admit I've read all of this authors mc books, but never actually read any of her standalones that aren't based in the mc world. I'm not sure why, I've just never got round to it. That been said I will be going back and reading them, especially Ashton's book (who we see glimpses of in this book).

This is Jack and Jessica's story and boy is it journey of a book. The raw emotion you will feel when reading this book will last with you way after you've finished it. You can't help but love Jack which after reading the blurb I thought I'd take longer to find that connection to his character. Actually I connected straight away to him and demons that he's carrying around. He's someone who's made mistakes and is still working to try and fix them, not more so then with Jessica. I loved Jessica. A strong minded woman she was the perfect sassy strong woman for Jack. You could feel the chemistry throughout the book and were hoping they could both move on, together.

This is quite a slower pace read to what I'm use to, but that was because of all the issues they both had to overcome and work though. A real emotional rollercoaster of a journey.
