This is the third book but the first book I've read in
this series (though I have previously read this author's other books). I
was going to read the others first but I didn't have much time to read
and review this one so I will have to do it out of order and go back to
them. That being said this can be read as a standalone and I didn't
feel like I was massively missing anything. I really liked the
supporting characters so I'm looking forward to going back and reading
some of their stories.
I'm obsessed with Cross. He's a dark gritty character that isn't for the faint hearted. Cross's past is heartbreaking and you're hit with it straight away in the prologue. Alexa has her own past problems and is being stalked by an ex-boyfriend. Together these two are fire. The chemistry is hot and Alexa was the perfect match to Cross. At first she was quite naive to everything, but she soon got her eyes wide open.
So much happens in this book with not just Cross but the supporting characters too. Lots of twists and turns and a perfect dark romance to feed my dark side.
