 Secrets-of-an-Alpha-Male-Kindle (1).jpg

Synopsis:

What happens when a cocky bad boy falls for a good girl?
I'm Connor 'Alpha Male' Anderson. Pound for pound I'm the best MMA fighter in America, and I've got the brains, balls, and brawn to back it up - 230 pounds of pure muscle, infinite charm, and the stamina to last all night long. But with the biggest fight of my career coming up, I've got to keep my pants zipped and get my head in the game. That's when Frankie Jones comes in. An amazingly hot yoga teacher, she drives me crazy with those booty shorts and sports bras. I'll hold downward dog as long as she wants so I can show her my cobra. She's a total bombshell, feisty, and challenges me every step of the way. She doesn't fall for my alpha game, and that only turns me on more. But how can I get myself into her skin-tight leggings, with the pressure of this title match coming up and my trainer's orders to keep it in my pants? Before I met Frankie, all I wanted was to win this fight. But now? All I want is her. Opposites attract in this Standalone Romance Novel with an HEA that will knock you out!

Excerpt:

I feel about a hundred pounds lighter when I get home from the yoga studio. Like there’s a bubble of calm positivity surrounding me. Even my Pitbull Tyson seems to sense it. Instead of scrabbling around on the hardwood floor like a maniac when I walk through the door, he bounds up to me and lets me roll his face in my hands. “What’s up, buddy?” I growl back at him. “You feeling as good as I am?” I lead him out to the backyard and toss a few treats for him to hunt down and eat. We chase each other around the yard a bit, partly to work off any excess energy and partly for the sheer joy of it. Eventually he gets tired enough to take his place sitting on the back porch, watching the birds. I rub his head a little, right close to his scarred ear where he likes it, then go back into the house to take a shower. Hot water hits my back like a giant, soothing palm, and my mind immediately goes to Frankie, the way she put her hand up against my six-pack. The Python, Tara, it all feels like it happened long ago in a past not worth remembering, not after what Frankie just did for me, how she made me feel. It changes everything. I close my eyes and try to visualize her, but it’s hard to recreate something so perfect in your mind. The best I can do is remember how she made me feel. Or maybe it was just the yoga. I’m not sure anymore where the line is drawn. It isn’t long before I’ve got a hard-on, thinking of Frankie’s half-smile as she told me I was doing it right. Of her sleek legs extended behind her when she did the downward dog. Of how even her tight sports bra couldn’t hide the elegant outline of her tits when she curled backwards. It would have been so easy to put a move on her, to pull that waist up against me, plant my tongue between those fertile lips. I play the scene out in my mind, hand on cock, mouth opening a little as if I could actually taste her. I love eating pussy as much as the next guy, but something about this woman makes me want to go down on her for hours, bury my head between those toned thighs, drink her essence until her tight little body spasms with chaotic joy. I come hard, slamming a hand against the shower glass to steady myself, a week’s build-up and the impossible pull Frankie compels in me combining to make the orgasm feel like a trigger being pulled inside of me. Tara got one thing right; I have been pretty pent up. I lean back and let the water continue to hit me, contented emptiness spreading out from my cock. My body is satisfied, but I still can’t get her face out of my head. Still feel like it’s not quite enough. By the time I get to bed my mind’s going like a washing machine again, just like it always does around this time. I lay there the same way I’ve laid there every night this week, body begging to fall asleep, to let my muscles repair, but my mind going through a million things at breakneck speed. A half-waking nightmare of mistakes I made in sparring blending with the stress of my upcoming fights and stained recollections of Tara—good and bad, though even the good seems bad with hindsight.

Genre: Dark Erotic Romance
 Release Date: April 13, 2016

Blurb

What's harder than resisting one Dane man? Resisting two.

I don't date bikers. It's my one cardinal rule. No rough, rugged, tattooed egotistical maniacs on two wheels. Even if they are gorgeous, brilliant, and sport the prefix Doctor. Bottom line, bikers are nothing but trouble.

T.R.O.U.B.L.E

Dr. Devlin Dane has had his sights set on my panties for months. But I've done a stellar job of fending him off. As Mercy Medical's most eligible bachelor, he has no problem in the panty dropping department. He's tall, dark, and inked all over. I get the appeal, I'm not dead. I'm not stupid either. He's a walking heartbreak waiting to happen.

But when Reese Dane comes crashing into my life - literally- the game suddenly changes.

Reese, the dark, brooding, motorcycle racing champion, knows exactly how to apply the right pressure on and off the track.

The two have an unstoppable pull like centrifugal force, and both bad boy bikers are determined to take me on a high-powered ride I'll never forget...

REVIEW
4.5* read.
This is different to this authors other books and I loved it. I went on such and emotional rollercoaster that by the end I was a real mess.
The first thing to say about the book is what a front cover that is. Straight away it grabbed my attention and I couldn't wait to read it. This isn't everyone's type of read, in fact I didn't think it would be mine, but I love this author so gave it a go and I'm so glad I did.
I don't want to give to much away except to say it involves two sexy and fiery brothers who will make your panties melt, and one very very lucky girl.

Excerpt

“I’m not overreacting! You can’t just pass me around to all your biker buddies and think it’s okay! I’m not a fucking wrist watch you can just throw into the pot!”

Kayla, do you honestly think I would’ve put you up if I knew I couldn’t win? That I would let anyone else touch what belongs to us?” Reese crowds me into a corner.

“Us?” I squeak. Wait, what?

“Yes. Us. Mine and Dev’s.” He enunciates the words. “You. Are. Ours.”

There’s that word again. Ours.

“I don’t understand.”

“Baby, I think you do. I think you’ve always known where we would end up.” Reese cages me in with his arms.

Dev materializes over Reese’s shoulder, and I internally hyperventilate. I don’t know who to look at first as my gaze compulsively darts between the two of them. Two, beautiful, roughneck men, who both look like they want to have me for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

“How . . . how would this even work?” I crazily entertain the idea.

Both their faces split with a fiendish smile. I must have asked the million-dollar question.

Reese leans in closely, stopping my heart. “Let us show you,” he murmurs so seductively my knees nearly buckle. I throw a questioning eye at Dev and he nods confidently.

“You both want this?” I ask with a small voice.

“It isn’t about what we want anymore. It’s all about you now,” Dev voices.

Holy. Fuck.

“Say yes, Kayla.” Dev’s tone is soft and velvety. Irresistible. “Say yes to us.”

I press my back against the wall praying for composure, but the longer they trap me, the more the pressure builds, the more my want fights to the surface, and my resolve falls away into oblivion. I find myself nodding because my ability to speak has become paralyzed.

“Good girl,” Reese breathes before he throws me over his shoulder like a caveman.

“Hey!” I grab onto his shirt.

He swats me on the butt as he makes his way to the stairs. “Ouch!” I flail.

“That’s for bouncing out on me. Never do it again. Got it?” He hits me once more for good measure.

“Fuck you.” I flinch.

“In due time, baby.”

I lift my head as Reese climbs the stairs with Dev hot on his heels.

Reality suddenly strikes. Is this really happening?

“Relax.” Dev traps my chin gently. “We’re going to take care of you. And make you feel so good.” He pushes some dangling hair away from my face so I can see him. He’s incredibly calm despite the carnal look in his eyes.

Once in my small room, Reese drops me on the bed. They each flank one side, making me feel like a trapped animal.

I kneel in the middle of the mattress at a loss at what to do next.

“Strip, baby,” Reese instructs as he unzips his leather jacket and pulls the gun from the back of his pants, placing it on my nightstand.

I stay frozen in place.

I know I’m supposed to move, but what’s clearly about to happen hasn’t sunk in yet.

“Need some assistance?” Dev crawls up behind me and kisses my neck. A switch flips. My eyes immediately roll backward. Yes, please, touch me. Both of you, please touch me.

Excerpt:

“Pull your skirt up.” I said it without acknowledging the possibility that she’d disobey. It felt good to use those words and that tone. To watch her eyes go to the floor. “Trust me.” I said it so low she was just within range to hear it. “Five minutes. Then we don’t have to fight over the car.” I stepped back and set my watch with a beep. It wasn’t about the car for her. The Jag was the least of her worries, but it was a tangible justification. For the downcast eyes. For the way her breathing changed. Maybe every bone in her body was vanilla. Maybe not. “Quit any time,” I said. “Just say the word.” She laid her hands on her hips. Curled her fingers. Gripped fabric. Pulled up her skirt. The tops of her thighs came into view then met at the crotch. I was hard already and made no move to hide it. She noticed and stopped moving the skirt. “Higher,” I said as if telling her how to center a picture over the couch. Higher was where it had to be. It wasn’t a request. Up it went, revealing cotton underwear in a pink so pale they were almost white. “Now what?” she asked. “How do you feel?” “Weird, Adam. Really weird.” “Why?” “Because I’m standing here with my skirt around my waist? Because you told me to? For a car, no less, which is creepy.” She was so honest. I ached for her honesty. “You’re not obeying me for an object. You’re obeying me so I do something. Take an action or don’t.” “You think that’s not weird?” “No, I don’t. And we have four minutes.” I stepped forward. Part of her discomfort was in the physical distance between us. I’d stepped away so she didn’t feel threatened, but my gaze was keeping her from relaxing. I kept my eyes on hers. I could smell her perfume and feel the shortness of her breath. “Are you turned on?” “Sex isn’t going to get me back. I’m sorry—” “Touch yourself.” Her initial shock and offense lasted only a second before she pressed her lips together and reached down, shoulders angling, hand thrusting as if checking to make sure her cunt was still there. We have hundreds of bones in our bodies, and sometimes we won’t acknowledge the preferences of the ones that scare us. “Are you wet?” “A little.” I gripped the edge of the vanity and put my lips near her cheek, millimeters from touching her. “You don’t love me anymore,” I whispered. “But I could always make you wet, and you always came for me. Like our Italy vacation. In Florence. Coming back from that club, in the little alley. Against the wall. I ripped through your underwear.” Her breathing got shallow and fast. “I fucked you in the dark, and when you came, you screamed my name so loud all the lights in the apartments went on.” “That was good.” She turned her face toward mine. When her lips nearly touched me, I pulled away just enough. “I said I wouldn’t touch you.” “I changed my mind.” I wasn’t fooled. Her arousal was talking. I owned her. She’d do whatever I told her. But I wanted something very simple. I wanted her pleasure. “Take the juice from your cunt and rub it on your clit. Make it wet.” “Adam.” “What?” “What’s come over you?” “Do it.” I felt her arm move against me. “Rub back and forth. Be consistent. One-two-one-two.” When I felt that she had it, I stepped back. She stopped. Her knees were bent slightly and her fingers had taken her cunt from the side of the crotch, not the waistband. She never ceased to surprise me. “One-two-one-two, huntress.” “Is this your way of getting back at me?” “One-two-one-two. Let me see you come. You’re so beautiful when you come. You’ve gone this far.” Her body must have been able to override her mind, because she moved her finger again, closing her eyes. Her cheeks reddened and her knees bent more deeply. “In Florence. An hour after we got to the hotel. I came so deep in you that night. I fucked you from behind with your leg up on the dresser. I wanted to thrust my whole body inside you. I loved you that much. And I gave up who I was. Last night, at the club, I remembered what I was. I was a man who was obeyed. I dominated women, and they submitted to me. The result was what you’re about to feel. Complete pleasure.” She let out a long, low groan, leaning on the vanity, twisting. I could have fucked her right then. I could have bent her over the counter and pounded her. But that wasn’t the point. No. Watching her hand move under her clothes because I commanded it. That was the point. An uh escaped her throat. Years of marriage had taught me that meant she was about to come. My watch beeped. “Time’s up,” I said. Her eyes went wide. Her hand stopped. “Thank you,” I said. “We’re done. I’ll send you the title to the car. You might want to pull your skirt down, since I can’t lock the door from the outside.” It was hard to walk away from her panting, bent frame without tasting her cunt or even seeing more of her reaction, but I turned the corner, unlocked the door, and left the bathroom.

About the Author:

CD Reiss is a USA Today and Amazon bestseller. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn't pick up, she's at the well, hauling buckets. Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master's degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere, but it did give her a big enough ego to write novels. Critics have dubbed the books "poetic," "literary," and "hauntingly atmospheric," which is flattering enough for her to put it in a bio, but embarrassing enough for her not to tell her husband, or he might think she's some sort of braggart who's too good to chop a cord of wood. If you meet her in person, you should call her Christine.

Title: Better Love
Series: Wingmen #4
Author: Daisy Prescott
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Release Date: November 1, 2016

Blurb

Maybe that old song got it right.

Maybe love can be better the second time around.

When one of my wingmen needs help, I'll do anything for him, including calling in a favor with the one person I swore I'd never speak to again.

Not after I walked away from that life five years ago and ditched the trappings of my success. The keyword being trap.

I left it all behind.

Including her.

Now the ambitious, brilliant, talented, and undeniably beautiful Roslyn Porter is back in my life. I'm not the same person she knew. I'm trying to be a better man.

No man is an island, but Dan Ashland comes close. He's content with his quiet life on Whidbey, a world away from the rat race on the other side of the ferry.

Dan has three great loves in his life: solitude, pizza, and Roslyn Porter.
**Better Love is a standalone second chance romance featuring Dan Ashland and the fourth book in the Wingmen series.

REVIEW
5* read.
I love this authors past books so was really looking forward to reading this one too. A second chance at romance is one of my favourite reads and this really writes it beautifully.
Dan the pizza man made me completely fall in love with him even if he is a bit too old for me he wasn't your typical male lead character and that.s what I loved. A fresh take on second chance at romance wrote in the male pov that I couldn't put down.
Rosyln was also great and her and Dan's banter and journey really had me gripped. I look forward to more from this author.

Excerpt

Making my way through the farmers' market, I waved to the vendors I knew as I skated by them on my board. Sally at the Tilth Farm booth winked at me and pointed at her butternut squashes. Knowing her, she could either have meant for pizzas, or their girth. Hard to know.

Weaving my way to the other side of the street, I smelled the coffee from Whidbey Joe’s before I reached their booth. Erik and Jonah stood side by side loudly discussing the merits of pour over versus French press brewing methods. A small group of women listened to them as if it were the most fascinating conversation ever. Behind the coffee fangirls stood Cari, Erik’s girlfriend, with her head close to another woman, lost in conversation.

I skidded to a stop and was about to tap Cari on the shoulder when the other woman turned her profile toward me. I knew that face. At one point its features had been as familiar as my own. I froze as a thousand memories collided in my head the moment I recognized her.

Roslyn Porter stared at me as if I’d walked through a wall like a ghost.

I understood the feeling. I never expected to see her standing on Second Street on a Friday afternoon.

Yes, I recommended she work with Erik, but I didn’t know she came to the island. There should’ve been a warning system for exes approaching on the ferry. Like the emergency alerts on our cell phones. Amber alerts for grown-ups with emotional baggage. A tracking app for old attachments to prevent awkward situations at the grocery store. Or while standing in the middle of the street minding my own business.

Someone needed to make an app for life in a small town.

A man deserved a little warning when he was about to be face-to-face with his past.
