Review:
4.5* read.
I always enjoy this authors work. This time what grabbed my attention wasn't the author's name but actually the cover as it's so different it immediantly grabbed my eye.
This is the first book in The Dating Series and a great second chance romance read.
This is Caroline and Alex's story and I have to say I loved both characters but Alex has a special place in my heart. He was just completly swoon worthy that you couldn't help but love him. I'm not going to say anything about the actual story as the blurb does that for me so no point in repeating it, but what I will say is that you could feel the chemistry straight away between these two. And yes there was a few road blocks put in front of them, but I enjoyed going on their journey and seeing them develop as characters.
Quite a light easy read this is great for that summer night relaxing in the garden. I'm looking forward to reading this author's next work.

Excerpt:
I head straight for the pickup counter, where I see my skinny vanilla latte waiting for me, my name written on the side of the cup in Stella’s familiar scrawl. Without hesitation I grab it, inhaling deeply before I take a sip. Just a tiny sip so I can savor it. I close my eyes for a second, maybe two, and when I open them, I find a guy standing there.
Watching me. And he’s not just any guy. He’s cute. Wait, no. Not cute. He’s…hot. Dark hair. Blue eyes. Wearing a suit that fits him perfectly. I know just from looking at the fabric that it’s custom. Expensive. He’s smiling at me. And I’m scowling at him in return because the caffeine hasn’t quite hit my bloodstream yet, so I’m not on top of my game. “You looked like you were having a moment.” His voice is deep. Rich. His face…vaguely familiar? I stand a little straighter. Take another sip of my coffee as I contemplate the man in front of me, because for some reason I still can’t come up with anything to say. Listen, I always have something to say. But this guy. This gorgeous, well-dressed maybe-stranger, is leaving me a little… Dumbstruck? Huh. “That moment you were just having. With your coffee,” he continues, gesturing at the cup I’m clutching in both of my hands, like it’s my baby. Which this morning—every morning—it is. “She loves coffee,” Stella says from behind me. Glancing over my shoulder, I give her a look, one that says shush. “I can see that.” The amusement in his voice is obvious. He thinks it’s funny. The sacred moment I was having with my latte made him smile. I wouldn’t mind coming up with other ways to make him smile. Whoa. Where did that thought come from? “What I want to know is, how did you get such special treatment?” I blink at him like I’m an uncomprehending idiot. “Excuse me?” “Well, I’ve been here for the last fifteen minutes. First, standing in line.” He gestures at the line of customers that trails out the door. “And now, waiting for my order.” Guilt fills me. Just a tiny bit. Sweet Dreams Café is the most popular bakery and coffee shop in Carmel-by-the-Sea. All the tourists love it. All the locals love it too. It’s been in Stella’s family for generations. “Yet you skip past the line, walk straight in here and grab your ready-made drink within a few seconds of your arrival. Do you have a Fast Pass?” A brow lifts, and I’m hit with a quiver. Like Cupid just drew back his bow and shot that arrow right in my heart. Or perhaps that arrow struck me in, ahem, other places. Who knew a brow lift could be so sexy?

Teardrop Shot Ebook Cover
I asked for his criteria for bed buddies–that's the PG version.
He swore at me and said he didn’t do groupies. And just like that, our friendship was off to a great start.
Reese Forster was the starting point guard for the Seattle Thunder.
Gorgeous. Cocky. Loved by the nation.
He’s also attending preseason basketball training camp where I used to work.
Correction: where I work again, because I was fired from my last job.
And dumped.
And I might have a tiny bit of baggage, but that’s normal. Right?
Reese and I shouldn’t have become friends. We shouldn’t have become roommates.
And we really shouldn’t have started sleeping together … (Except we did.)
I’m adorably psychotic. He’s in the NBA.
This is not a disaster waiting to happen, at all.

Review:
4.5* read.
I'm a great fan and follower of this author's work so I always look forward to a new book coming out as I know I'll be in for a great read.
I don't know if it was just me having a off day (it probably was), but I found the first chapter to be quite confusing at first. I just didn't have a clue as to what was happening or anything untill all of a sudden I got it. Like I say that was probably just me having one of those days but luckily my brain clicked in gear pretty quick.
Charlie and Reese are character's you instanly connect to. When you first meet Charlie especially (I'm not going to give anything away on that) but you can't help but fall in love with her and pity her for the situation she's in. At one point in the book I did kind of want to give her a good shake and say what are you doing, but thats the beauty of this authors writing, she drags you into the story as if your right there. Reese and Charlie have this weird sort of friendship at first that no one see's coming. You don't expect it as Charlie is such a massive fan of his that you would think he would run a mile whilst screaming ahhh crazy stalker. Thats not the case though and instantly they connect with this weird deep friendship connection that was both hilarious and sweet. The banter and chemistry between them could be felt off the page and I was rooting for them throughout.
There's quite a lot of depth to this book that you might not expect, it really takes you on a journey. Its both sad and hilarious in places so a real emotional rollercoaster read. I devoured every last page and I can't wait to see what this author writes up next.

He came out, all ready, saw me, and shook his head. Giving him the biggest smile I could muster, I handed over his coffee and dangled my keys. “Let’s go.” My neighbor was coming home from his night shift at a factory. He was trudging down the hallway when he saw us, lifted a hand in greeting, then stopped. His head shot upright and his shoulders stiffened. He rotated swiftly on his heels, his eyes wide and bulging. He held up a hand. “Is that—” “No.” Lying. Another superhero quality of mine. “It’s late, Bill. That’s my brother.” Reese squashed a laugh and nodded to the guy. “What’s up.” It wasn’t a question, but a greeting, and he hustled me past my neighbor. I gave Reese a look as we went to my underground parking spot. “He’s going to hammer me later. He’ll know he wasn’t seeing things.” “He’s a fan?” “The biggest.” Reese smirked, meeting my gaze over the top of my car. “Bigger than you?” We were entering cheesy territory here. We needed to scale it back. “I have a cardboard cutout of you,” I told him. “In my closet.” He froze. “You’re joking.” I was, but now I had to buy one. “Wouldn’t you like to think that.” Settling into my chair, I felt better—more familiar terrain again. “But the funny thing is, next time you come, you won’t know if I was serious or if I bought him after I told you.” Reese just rolled his eyes, putting the coffees in the cup holders for both of us. He was looking around as I pulled out of the lot. “This is actually a nice place.” “The underground parking is nice. The apartment building itself is okay. Nothing great.” I didn’t tell him how the lights in the laundry room would dim, so if I used those machines, I had to prop the door open with a rock. Or how I’d only do my clothes between seven in the morning and nine. Nine was the latest. After that, people were stirring, and there were a few neighbors I wasn’t so sure about. Reese whistled as I pulled up to departures seven minutes later. “You weren’t kidding. That’s close.” “And you’ve barely had your coffee.” He yawned now, blinking a few times. “I’ll grab some inside. You can have it.” I parked, but didn’t shut off the engine. “Do not get out,” he warned. I grinned. “Wasn’t planning on it. We really don’t need to go to that level, with the hugging, would we kiss or not… Too many strings, friend.” He smiled back, but his eyes had started to smolder a bit. He leaned over, dropping his voice, “I’ll answer one of those questions.” His lips caught mine in a good, firm kiss, one that sent my senses spiraling and stole just the slightest bit of oxygen from my lungs. I might’ve needed to gather my bearings as he pulled back and grabbed his bag from the back. Before he turned, he gave me a second kiss, this one lighter. “Go home. Go to bed,” he said as he reached for the door. “Text me when you park, and again when you’re inside your place. Humor me. I’m a friend. I can care.” He was starting to leave, but I tugged on his shirt. He paused, looking back. “And after that?” I asked. “We’re friends. Let’s play it by ear.” Our gazes held, a shared reminder of the other details in our agreement. I saw his darkening, so I let go. “Okey-dokey. Hope you don’t get mauled.” He laughed. “It’s too early for that.” But we both knew the truth. It could happen. As if reading my mind, he amended, “It’s usually not that bad. If it is—and I don’t think it will be—airport security is good with celebrities here. They’ve got a special room and everything. Plus…” He reached in his bag and pulled out a baseball hat, dragging it low over his eyes and flicking up his hood. “This is pretty incognito.” His height wasn’t, but I decided to pick my battles. “I’ll expect twenty questions by the time you land.” He laughed. “Don’t think so. I’m going to be sleeping that whole time, but I’ll text you updates just to annoy you.” He got out, but bent back down, his tone more serious. “Do me a favor? Only take that job if you want it. Don’t take it because you feel desperate. I can loan you money, if anything.” That wiped all joking aside. “Reese.” Dammit. “I’ll never lose myself in a guy again. Ever.” “Yeah, but before you didn’t have a friend who could loan you money until you got to a place where you could pick something that actually made you happy.” His eyes flashed a warning. “Now you do. Just think about it. It’s a loan. I’d give one to another friend in the same spot.” I rolled my eyes. He chuckled. “Drive safe. I liked screwing you. Let’s do it again and soon.” “I changed my mind. Get mauled!” I could hear his laugh as he shut the door and headed inside, his bag over his shoulder. Only a couple guys squinted at him, their heads cocked to the side. He was right. His incognito look really was incognito, but he was still frustrating. And I was hoping for thesoontoo. Driving back, my phone kept buzzing. Reese: Checking in. Reese: I had to check my bag. It’s too big for a carry-on. Reese: Two autographs. Reese: Going up the escalator now. Reese: At the security line. The guards are cool. They promised not to be angry when Thunder beats the Coyotes. Reese: Through security. He knew I couldn’t answer. I was driving. Reese: I’m at gate A6. Reese: This is a nice airport. I always forget till I get here. Reese: I upgraded to first class. Reese: Coach wants to make sure I get back in time for meetings this morning. Reese: Still not boarding. Just letting you know. After parking, I grabbed my phone. Me: It’s supposed to be questions. Like, if I asked security if I could put a body in my bag, could I still check it? Questions like that. You’re not following the rules. Reese: Fuck the rules. These are my rules. Reese: You do questions. I do updates. Deal with it. Reese: Except now. Are you back at your place? Me: Yes. Walking upstairs now. Reese: No updates from you. Well. Yes. Tell me when you get in your place. I turned down my hallway. Bill’s door opened and his head popped out. His hair was scruffed up like he’d been trying for a Mohawk. “No bullshit. Was that him?” I was about to break a fellow Reese Forster fan’s heart. “It was my brother.” He glared. “You’re not fucking with me?” “No.” “Oh.” That was it. His head went back in, and he slammed his door shut. Immediately Mrs. Rings yelled from her apartment across the hall. “STOP SLAMMING THE DOORS! EVERYONE FUCKING SHUT IT!” And her parrot a second later. “STOP SLAMMING FUCKING SHUT IT!” And then, “SHUT IT, BORIS!” And her parrot again, “EVERYONE FUCK IT AND GO TO SLEEP!”

REVIEW
 5* read.
I've been counting the days down for this book and was really wishing that it would live up the the high expectations I'd built up for it. Thats the problem sometimes when your really looking forward to a certain book or author you can actually over build it it up too high in your mind and then it can't possibly live up to what you imagine it to be. Luckily that wasn't the case with this book and it lived up to its expectations and more. Although this is book 3 in the Bad Love series it could be read as a standalone, although I would say you'd enjoy it more by reading the others first and getting to know all the characters more who do show up in this one.
Jesse and Allie are just the perfect characters for me, I love both of them. Jesse was your smouldering bad boy/cocky man whore who you just couldn't help but love. Allie is the strong and sarcastic type who was the perfect match for Jesse. Both have their own personal problems/issues that adds that bit extra drama and angst to this book. I loved their banter and chemistry which you felt straight away from the first time they meet. I connected to their characters straight away and fell in love with both of them. That's what I love most in a book when you can just instanly connect to the characters and invest in their story without having to work at it.
This book was everything I love and more. I really enjoy reading this authors work and really hope her brilliant writing style carries on for years to come. I can't wait for the next book she writes and hopefully I'll get my next fix soon.
“Did you hear that?” I ask. Moving in slowly, he cages me in, bracing his right arm on the wall above my head, his left hand by my hip. He brings his lips close to my ear and I fight the shiver that rolls through me. “It’s probably just your admirer,” he says, his voice hushed and husky. I swallow hard, looking over his shoulder as he nuzzles closer, his nose skimming my neck, then down to my collarbone. My pulse pounds in my ears as he moves back up, his mouth brushing across my cheek, stopping at my parted lips. “Is this convincing?” He asks. He’s so close that I can feel his breath on my lips, and I realize that I want him to do it. I want him to kiss me. I give a slight shake of my head in response. “No?” He smirks, knowing exactly what he’s doing to me. His left hand leaves the wall to curl around my hip and he presses his chest to mine. “How about this?” “Almost,” I whisper. I wet my lips and the tip of my tongue nearly grazes his bottom lip. His expression goes from playful to heated in an instant, then he’s closing the final distance. It’s soft at first, just a brush of his lips against mine, but soon he’s cupping my face with both hands, tilting my head back as his tongue sweeps into my mouth, his movements confident and skilled. Unhurried and unyielding. My hands find his shirt, pulling him closer as his tongue fucks my mouth. Because that’s exactly what this is. This isn’t kissing. Or maybe it is, and I’ve been kissing the wrong boys. Jesse groans, fitting a firm thigh between my legs, and the need bubbling inside me threatens to boil over at the sensation. But all too soon, he pulls back, leaving me breathless. “Was that convincing enough?”
Charleigh Rose lives in Narnia with her husband and two young children. She’s hopelessly devoted to unconventional love and pizza. When she isn’t reading or mom-ing, she’s writing moody, broody, swoony romance.

Review:
5 massive star read. I think this has to be my favourite book of this authors. I have to say I thought nothing could top Look The Part (my other favourite book by this author), but this may have took the top spot. I just devoured every last page always greedy for the next. The suspense will keep you guessing till the very end aswell as keeping you addicted. I just loved everything about it.
Full of twists and turns, when you think you've got everything figured out you haven't cause then bam theres another twist that makes you go erm wtf is happening now. Such an unique and gripping read you won't want to put it down for anything.
I loved the characters and instanly felt a connection to them which is a main thing in a book for me is that deep character connection that makes you invest in their story. Jersey was a great strong character. Hardened by everything thats happened to her you couldn't help but fall in love with this fiesty character. As for Ian the rockstar, well you couldn't help but love him. I really enjoyed watching their relationship develop and going on their drama pact journey with them.
This is a must buy book, an addictive read that you won't want to put down. A unique book in its own right I've never read anything like this before which made it even more great. I can't wait for this authors next book.

“We ate at the hotel.” Her lips twisted to the side. “Mind if I stick some stuff in my bag for later?” A tiny wrinkle formed between Ian’s eyes, just below the long sweep of his black bangs. “There will be lots of food available later too. But…” he shrugged, leaning forward and resting his elbows on his knees “…take whatever you want.” Jersey glanced over her shoulder at the food and the three other men in the room. She decided to wait a little while before shoving as much as possible into her bag like a free-for-all. “Thanks.” Jersey returned her attention to Ian. “So … you’re a singer. Like … are you a big deal?” Every word she spoke seemed to feed his level of happiness. “Well …” He rubbed his chin, twisting his lips. “We play music. People like to listen to our music. But no … it’s not a big deal. We’re not saving lives or anything like that.” She eyed him with suspicion for a few seconds. That smile of his didn’t feel worthy of complete trust. “Um … what exactly do you need me to do? What’s my job? They already took Chris. Will that big, bearded guy come for me too?” Jersey couldn’t remember his name. “No.” Ian stood, pushing his elbows out from his shoulders, twisting side to side. “Tonight you are just going to watch the concert from backstage. Tomorrow night you’ll sell merchandise.” “Drugs. You mean drugs, don’t you?” Ian paused his stretching, letting his arms fall limp to his sides. “Merchandise—T-shirts, posters, keychains, phone cases, hats, guitar pics …” “To who?” “Fans.” Ian grinned. “Okay. I might have understated all of this to you … can you name a famous singer? Old or new. Doesn’t matter. Just a famous singer.” “I had a foster parent who used to listen to Josh Groban.” Jersey gnashed her teeth, still feeling so much anger. Dena wasn’t just a foster parent; she was Jersey’s friend. “Okay. Well, Josh has sold millions of records, and he’s a huge star in his genre of music. Thousands of people pack venues all over the world to see him sing live in concert. And they sell merchandise of his at those concerts.” Jersey gazed unblinkingly at Ian as he scratched his jaw. “Well, I sing a different genre of music, but I, too, travel the world, singing to sold-out concert venues, andI have people who sell my merchandise at these concerts.” Jersey dropped her bag to her feet and planted her fists on her hips. “Listen, Coop. Stop talking down to me. I’m not an idiot. I know what a concert is. But earlier today you didn’t say what you did or what the job was you were offering. You bought a homeless person a hot dog and offered her a job. Of course, I’m going to think something sketchy might be involved.” Tipping her chin up, she held her breath to puff out her chest, pretending the recent revelation of Ian Cooper being a famous singer didn’t faze her one bit. Inside, Jersey’s heart hammered into her ribcage, and her mind reeled trying to figure out the day’s events. “Coop?” His lips twitched into a tiny grin. “It’s short for Cooper.” “Clearly.” Ian chuckled. “But my name is Ian. Everyone calls me Ian.” “I busted the nose and jaw of a kid named Ian. He tried to stick his cock in my ass. I’ll call you Tom, Dick, or Harry, but I’m not calling you Ian because that makes me want to physically harm you.” Ian’s eyebrows shot up his forehead as his head whipped back a few inches. “Coop it is.” JEA-JS-ReleaseGiveaway

We are very excited to be a part of the release blitz for the first book in
Lisa Helen Grey's Kingsley Academy series WRONG CROWD

My entire world was turned upside down the day my mum died. I feared what my life would become when an aunt I never knew about came swooping in and threw me into the unknown.
She was rich. I couldn’t even afford a pack of gum.
We were complete opposites, yet I wanted a fresh start in life, and she was promising to give me that. I just had to live with her for a year, until I graduated college. However, from the very first day it became clear that I was completely out of my depth. It was a deal I couldn’t pass up, not if I wanted to stay off the streets until I could find a job to support myself.
Everyone at Kingsley Academy was in a league of their own. The girls were high-class, yet as fake as Barbie dolls, and the boys were handsome with that appealing bad boy edge. Especially Kaiden Kingsley.
He was charismatic, athletic, and sexy as hell. He also hated me so much he was willing to do anything to send me back to where I came from. And I didn’t even know why.
He was cold, cruel and twisted in a way I could never compete with, yet I found myself gravitating towards him.
Secrets, lies and deceit.
Everyone reeked of it.
I wanted answers—needed them.
Before my mum died, I thought I knew everything about her. It turns out, I didn’t know her at all.
There’s a reason she left all this behind; a reason why Kaiden and his elite group are on a mission to punish me.
And I’m going to find out.

Review:
5* read.
I will be keeping my review quite short and sweet, just so I can make it completly spoiler free and not give anything away.
I'll start off by saying one of my favourite genres (or whatever you want to call it) to read is a bully romance one. The whole love/hate relationship but times a million has always been one of my favourites. The tension and drama and complete hate is just something I love to read and as I love this author anyways I was even more excited for this book.
Ivy and Kaiden are characters you'll just love to read about. You see it through Ivy's eyes so you experience her confusion with her. The drama and angst mixed in with their chemistry was a perfect read for me, I loved the story and I loved the characters. I'm really glad this author went off from her normal and took a chance on something a but different to what she normally writes, I loved it (if you didn;t already know that lol).
I was hooked from the first few chapters of this book and can't wait to see what she does next.
