Words Left Unsaid by Missy Johnson

BLURB
At 8:28 I was the girl who had everything.
At 8:29 my whole world fell apart.
A split second can change your life. I learned this the hard way. I wasn't ready to let him go. Even when the terms "vegetative state" and "will never recover" were thrown around I held onto hope. I mean, miracles happen, right?
We deserved our happy ending.
Three years later and I'm still hoping. In my heart I know I have to let him go but how can I? He's the only man I've ever loved. He's my soul mate. My life.
Then I meet Max. He's everything Aiden isn't and as much as I'm trying to fight my feelings, I'm losing. I don't want to fight anymore.
I need to live my life.
I need to move on.

But in order to move forward I need to let go of the past.

ARC received with thanks from the author in exchange for an honest review.
This was a complete emotional heart wrenching rollercoaster of a read and my most recent ugly cry book. It makes you take a step back and look at your life and all credit to this goes to the author. The book was heartbreaking throughout but so well wrote that she made the characters so real it made you feel every emotion along with them. I've never read anything from this author before and I cant wait to read more after this.
Kiara had everything she could want in life, a loving fiancé, and a beautiful daughter, she was young and happy. One night her happiness was taken away from her with tragedy befallen Aiden her fiancé. Three years later she's still not been able to move on. Her fiancés still in a coma with no chance at getting better, in a unresponsive state but his parents aren't willing to let him go. She visits him every week and even though she knows he wont get better she feels guilty for even thinking let alone trying to move on. Things might change though when her sister Ellie decides to take matters into her own hands and sets her up on a blind date with Max.

Max is Ellie's partners Grants friend. He's just accepted a principals position at the local school and has been on a lot of disastrous dates set up by Grant so he's surprised when he sees Kiara. There's a lot of ups and downs throughout and without giving to much away I loved how Max and Kiara wasn't just a jump in bed thing, you could feel the internal battle she had and the guilt she felt for even been around Max. Question is will Kiara be able to ever move on and will Max still be there when she is ready?

Outside The Ropes (Outside the Ropes #1) by Ashley Claudy

In the ring, Regan has control. Outside the ropes, she fights to survive.

Regan Sommers spent her life fighting. Fighting foster parents, kids in the group home, and classmates. But the night she has to fight for her life changes everything.

Now, she's fighting for money in the ring, and from the first punch she's addicted. Every addiction has a price though, and this one is the gym's star boxer, Gage Lawson. He may come in an enticing tattooed package, but his demands are more than she can handle.

The responding officer from that night, Anthony Fields, comes with no demands. He wants whatever she's willing to give, and Regan can handle that. She can definitely handle him.

But no help comes string free, and Regan's not the only one with a hard past and scars to cover. The life she was trying to escape is nothing compared to the danger she's in the middle of now, and she can't fight her way out.

***Reader please be aware: Story contains mature content such as: Drugs, sex, abuse, and explicit language that may be upsetting for some.****

I'm always dubious reading a debut authors book, past experiences where I couldn't connect with the author or writing has really put me off reading debut them, but I always like to give any author a chance and this dragged me in just from the blurb and cover picture and I'm so glad I went for it. Ashley is a new author to watch out for, I couldn't put this book down I love it and Ashley is defiantly a future author to keep a watch on.
This is based on Regan and i loved her from the start. Regan's had a tough life, tough upbringing pushed around from different foster homes and not finishing high school because of it. One night after finishing the late shift at work she gets attacked but doesn't go down without a fight. Luckily professional boxers Gage, Dexter and Silas come across the attack and help her. All this leads her into a dangerous tangled web and the start of 2 sexy guys vying for her, question is will either win her heart

Outside The Ropes is a fresh and different take on the typical fighter story and is a real gripping and raw throughout. A detailed deep and emotion debut edgy novel, I can't wait for the next.

Only for Him (Only #1) by Cristin Harber

Grayson Ford and Emma Kinglsey—close since they were kids, opposites in every way. He’s the stuff high school crushes are made of, Mister Popular, and captain of every team. She’s artsy, cute, and not in his league, though fully aware of Summerland’s "I Dream of Dating Grayson Ford" support group.

I can’t say no. The girl’s had my heart since before I knew it went missing.

He hides a life of hell. His father hates him, his mother’s gone. Emma is his only savior, yet she doesn’t know her power over him. She’s the only girl he wants, the only one he could ever tell—though he won’t.

I’m stronger, bigger, more of a man than he’ll ever be, but because I ruined his life, I’ve taken his crap, his attacks, the vulgar nature of his existence.

Until she discovers Gray’s embarrassment, his humiliation. Emma fights for him, for a chance. Theirs is a Cinderella story that she believes impossible. But as the layers peel back, it’s just a guy who needs a girl in order to keep breathing.

My mind is already doodling Mrs. Grayson Ford in imaginary notebooks. He has no clue where my head is at… But, given that I didn’t see what just happened coming, maybe I have no clue where his head is at either.

* ONLY FOR HIM is the first book in the Only series, all of which will release in Spring 2015.

Review
I received a copy from the publisher (via netgalley) in exchange for a honest review.
This is a novella so not much detail I can really go into. Its based on Emma and Grayson who have been best friends forever. Both are secretly in love with the other but neither have made any move to take their friendship any further then that yet. I loved the interaction between them and even though it was a novella I could still interact and connect with the characters which I usually cant do with short stories.
Was a good quick read, emotional in places too, and I will be reading the next in the series too although in my own opinion I don't really like books that are really short and end on a cliff-hanger but I surprisingly enjoyed this one even with the massive cliff-hanger ending.

Back Stage (Power Station #3) by T. Gephart

BLURB
Rock Star? Angie Morelli was not one. Growing up next to Power Station’s drummer didn’t guarantee a taste of the limelight, unless you count catcalls at low paying gigs in seedy bars and second-rate venues. She was okay with that; working her ass off at her dad’s mechanic shop during the day meant she could live her dream at night. She didn’t need Power Station waltzing back into her life, Jason Irwin had done enough damage the first time. Could she let go of her hurt for a chance of hitting the big time?
A one-night stand right before Jason Irwin left for his big break was no big deal. Except it wasn’t just any girl— it was Angie, Troy’s hot but young and inexperienced neighbor. It should never have happened, so best he pretend like it didn’t. Ten years later he remembered exactly why he went down that road. She was even hotter and she was also pissed as hell. Sounded like the perfect combination to invite on their world tour.
The road was not the place for history. It was bound to get ugly.
Book Three of the Power Station Series.

Review
5* read

This is the third and last book in the Power Station series, but can be read as a standalone too. Its told in dual POV which as you know I love as it helps me connect with both characters throughout.
I love Tina Gephart, her writing style is so unique and addictive and has you reading every last page without stopping as you have to find out what happens next.
Lastly we’re getting story of sexy keyboard player Jason and Angela who are thrown back together after they parted on bad terms because of a one night stand years ago where Jason rejected her after it happened and humiliated and hurt her. Years later it all starts again when Power Station are left without an opening act so they decide to use Troy’s next door neighbors band which just happens to be Angela's band. This leads to Jason and Angela been thrust ;) (haha and i mean literally too) back together whether they like it or not.

I loved the chemistry and banter and hilarious insults they throw at each other, and as for the sexual chemistry my god I think it could melt the panties off a nun (sorry nuns but its true). Question is though can she forgive Jason for the past and can he be the one for her. I have to say I was keeping my fingers crossed throughout that they would.

Even better is that all the other characters from past books are in this one to and play a big part in the story. This book is the perfect last book to an group who you've fell in love with through every last book and page.
I cant wait to see what you do next Tina you are truly a talented author and I'm excited to see what more you write us.

 EXCERPT
Hey what about Angie Morelli?” Troy rubbed his hand through his mohawk, the mess of crap he called hair.
Angie Morelli.
Yep, just saying her name was enough to send a chill up my spine. It had been ten years, and still not long enough. Her long, black hair and dark-brown eyes, something that had taken a while to wipe from my mind. That body. Yeah, I still remembered every curve. So freaking sweet, too. Unfortunately it wasn’t only her attributes that I remembered, one of my biggest asshole moments was also front and center getting the trip down memory lane. So you would have to understand why I didn’t immediately start doing backflips and welcoming her. The idea was to avoid the drama, not to give it top freaking billing.
Dude, no. No fucking way,” Dan chimed in, his words echoing exactly what was rattling around in my head.
Thank you, douchebag. An Angie reunion was bad news. There had to be someone else. Hey, was Charlie Manson out of prison yet? I mean if we were thinking up bad ideas to take on tour, we might as well put them all on the table.
She’s still playing?” James tipped his head toward Troy, taking way more interest in the topic than I would have liked. The itch to shut the conversation down danced with the need to keep my mouth shut. Delicate act. Wasn’t sure which one was going to win. Honestly, it was going to be trouble either way.
Sure is. Lexi is trying to sign her band, Black Addiction; saw them last week at a club in Brooklyn. She said they packed the house.” Troy threw some more weight behind the cause. The conversation continued around me, even as the mother of all headaches took up residence in my frontal lobe.
I saw her stuff on You Tube, they’re tight.” Alex nodded, the bastard not having any idea on what he was signing us up for, and I wasn’t going to be neon-signing it for him either.
C’mon! Angie?” Dan rolled his eyes, throwing his hands up in disgust. “Troy, did you snort some of Wade’s nose candy before he left? She doesn’t have the chops for a stadium. Besides, she hates us.”
Had to admit, this was one time where I was happy for Dan to be running his mouth. Giving him a round of applause would have been too conspicuous, so I kept it on the down low, but I was a hundred percent behind his stance. The fact it wasn’t me who was leading the anti-Angie movement was a fucking bonus.
No, she hates you.” Troy smirked. The Dan v Angie battles common knowledge.
No, she fucking hates Jase, too.”
The motherfucker had to go there. He couldn’t have left it with his own reasons for not wanting her around. He had to go ahead and drag me into it.
Hate is a pretty strong word, let’s go with a strong dislike.” I eased back into the chair knowing well enough that it wasn’t going to be the last on the topic I was going to have to volunteer. Fucking Dan.
Dan I understand, but why you, Jase?” Troy’s raised eyebrow proving he had no idea what had happened between me and his sexy, barely legal neighbor before we’d hit the big time.
At least Dan had managed to keep a lid on it for longer than I’d ever imagined; I’d always had my suspicions that he’d spilled one time or another, but seems to be those concerns were unfounded. Who knew he had it in him. In the end, the violence was still happening. I’d just make sure I didn’t punch him above the neck, keep the SOB pretty for the fans.
Long story.” Well at least it wasn’t a total lie. “Let’s just say I’m not her favorite person and move on, shall we.” The less I said about the subject the better. Besides, it was fucking years ago. Why the hell were we dredging it all up now?
I heard she has a voodoo doll of you.” Dan stretched out his arms, anchoring them behind his head, his grin splitting off the side of his face. “Tell me, asswipe, do you feel any stabbing pain in your cock?”

 ABOUT THE AUTHOR
T Gephart is an indie author from Melbourne, Australia.
T's approach to life has been somewhat unconventional. Rather than going to University, she jumped on a plane to Los Angeles, USA in search of adventure. While this first trip left her somewhat underwhelmed and largely depleted of funds it fueled her appetite for travel and life experience.
With a rather eclectic resume, which reads more like the fiction she writes than an actual employment history, T struggled to find her niche in the world.
While on a subsequent trip the United States in 1999, T met and married her husband. Their whirlwind courtship and interesting impromptu convenience store wedding set the tone for their life together, which is anything but ordinary. They have lived in Louisiana, Guam and Australia and have traveled extensively throughout the US. T has two beautiful young children and one four legged child, Woodley, the wonder dog.
An avid reader, T became increasingly frustrated by the lack of strong female characters in the books she was reading. She wanted to read about a woman she could identify with, someone strong, independent and confident and who didn't lack femininity. Out of this need, she decided to pen her first book, A Twist of Fate. T set herself the challenge to write something that was interesting, compelling and yet easy enough to read that was still enjoyable. Pulling from her own past "colorful" experiences and the amazing personalities she has surrounded herself with, she had no shortage of inspiration. With a strong slant on erotic fiction, her core characters are empowered women who don't have to sacrifice their femininity. She enjoyed the process so much that when it was over she couldn't let it go.
T loves to travel, laugh and surround herself with colorful characters. This inevitably spills into her writing and makes for an interesting journey - she is well and truly enjoying the ride!
Based on her life experiences, T has plenty of material for her books and has a wealth of ideas to keep you all enthralled.

** This is a New Adult romance novel recommended for ages 18+ due to sexual content and mature subject matter.**

Review
4 star read.
I received a from the publisher (via NetGalley) in exchange for an honest review.
M.Clarke is a new author to me and after reading this book I will be looking for more to buy and I cant wait for book 2 which comes out in July.
Thos was a emotional addictive heart warming story that had me hooked till the last page. I love college romance books so I knew I had to read this straight away just based on that.
Alexandria  (Alex) moves to start college in a new town not long after the death of her father. She knows how she's going to live in her cousins former room with a roommate named Ellie (who she believes is a girl). What she doesn't know is that "Ellie" is actually Elijah, a hot, tattooed cocky bad boy who also illegally races to get money to support himself.
The sexual tension Alex between the two can be felt off the page its that strong and there connection was beyond just sexual desire. I loved the interaction between the two of them they are both so opposite but work so well together.
This is an emotional beautiful story that makes you feel every emotion possible throughout.
My only criticism was that apart from the swear words it felt more of a YA style book but that's only my opinion I still loved it and will defiantly read the next book, I cant wait.

Hendrix "Cannon" Cole is a major D*ck. That's D*ck with a capital D.

He's nicknamed "Cannon" because of the weapon between his legs.

Our history is complicated. But my family thinks he's the perfect solution to my problem. A scandal has thrown me into the limelight, and I'll be screwed if I don't stay on the straight and narrow. Now, Hendrix's new job is making sure I behave.

The heat between us is explosive. But if he fires that cannon, we'll both get burned.

**This is a standalone novel with a HEA**

Review
5* read.
I received a ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.
I love Sabrina Paiges books, not only does she write one of my favourite genres so well (stepbrother romances), but she pulls you and and connects you with the characters.
The story starts with Hendrix and Addison meeting after not seeing each other in five years, since they were teenagers, when Hendrix comes back as her new bodyguard. Its been so long as Hendrix went away and joined the Marines and Addison went on to make her successful career as a country music star. Both parents are very controlling, Hendrix's dad has been married to Addison's mum for 7 years. Addison is also managed by her mum so you feel the pressure and control on her life and the fact that she cant do what she wants to do where her music is concerned. Hendrix has also never got on with his ex-Army dad who is also demanding and controlling.
This has a different feel from Sabrina's other stepbrother romances Prick and Tool, its more emotional but is similar in the way that there's a lot of panty dropping scenes that heat you up in all the right places. It moves fluidly between the present and the past throughout the book showing you how their relationship develops and you really feel all the emotion throughout.
Thankyou Sabrina for another amazing book, i cant wait for the next.
