đź’™NUMBER NEIGHBORS TEASERđź’™

NUMBER NEIGHBOR: So your favorite sex position is doggy? Shoulders down or up?
ME: This is woefully unexciting if this is sexting.
NN: I’m trying to picture it in my mind so I can tell you.
ME: You don’t know what I look like.
NN: This is the only time I can justify imagining fucking Scarlett Johansson. Work with me, stranger.
ME: K, fine. You’re Nick Jonas in my head anyway.
NN: Right. Shoulders up or down?
ME: Depends how hard you’re going to pull my hair.
NN: …Up it is.
ME: I like this.
NN: What color IS your hair?
ME: Dark brown.
NN: That works. Ready for this?
ME: I don’t think I have a choice.
NN: Sure you do. But you should know that I’m already hard.

Wow. Okay. Sexting did come with perks, even if it was a stranger.

ME: This better be good. Go. Wow me.

Excerpt:
Sometimes you meet someone, and they own your soul from the moment your eyes touch. Sometimes they turn out to be everything you want them to be, surpassing even your greatest expectations. But sometimes, it’s all a lie. Every move. Every conversation. Every touch. The spell that grabbed you, trapped you in its erotic, painfully beautiful, dark-dark web, was nothing but a dream. That’s how I’d describe it. How I’d describe him. Trouble. turn up the volume. Neil Young’s haunting voice echoes in my car as I speed down California’s infamous Pacific Coast Highway. “Harvest Moon” speaks directly to my soul. It’s late in the night, and the dark ocean stretches out into oblivion beside me. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so empty. Or alone. I don’t want to cry. I can’t cry. I’ve survived much worse. So much worse. I won’t let him be the one to destroy me. Not him. My hands clench the steering wheel as I fight to stay strong. He was supposed to protect me. He said he always would. I thought he loved me. I thought that after years of emptiness, I made him feel whole again. But he was lying. About everything. Every word. Every moment. Every touch. It was all a lie. He played me from the moment we met.

LONG LOST
By Cora Brent
Release date: 3/11/20
We should have been enemies from the beginning.
But we were children when we met and children tend to ignore such rules.
Even if the rules exist for a reason.
Because Jonathan came from a family of savage killers.
While I was born into the broken aftermath of their victims.
For one short season we were inseparable.
All it took was one terrible day to turn us into strangers.
I’ve spent a long time chasing him from my mind.
And I assumed he was gone forever.
Until he shows up here.
So far from where we started and so changed from the friend I once knew.
The gentle boy I loved has grown into a volatile man with dangerous secrets and a different name.
He won’t admit to who he is.
Or where he comes form.
Or who we are to each other.
And I knew I shouldn’t have provoked him.
I knew I shouldn’t have touched him.
Most of all I knew I shouldn’t have offered him my heart.
Yes, Jonathan and I were born to be enemies.
And maybe that’s how our story will end after all…

What is The Bachelors Club?
It’s a gentleman’s club—like the dignified men of the past used to have. Except, we’re not gentleman, and we’re not dignified.

We’re ineligible bachelors, bored, jaded and not looking for relationships. Quite the opposite actually. So committed to being single, we’ve created a high stakes bet to see who can remain single the longest…

Four days co-habitating in a shared work space shouldn’t be a big deal. It shouldn’t be distracting. But Spencer Standish saw me puking in a company trash can, and won’t let me live it down. Cheerful, aggravating Spencer, who wants me to fetch her coffee.

As if she’s the boss of me.
And now I’m stuck sharing her office.

Let’s face facts: I can’t be in a relationship; not when there’s a bet to win—not with Spencer, who loves my uncontrollable basset hound, lazy Sundays, and grilled cheese as much as I do. I refuse to fall for her.

will be the last Bachelor standing.

đź’™NUMBER NEIGHBORS TEASERđź’™
“What’s he saying?” Immy said, bouncing on the sofa.
“He wants to sext.” I looked up and blinked at them both. “What the hell am I supposed to do now?”
Fran drained the rest of her wine and put her glass down. “Get on with it, woman!”
“I have no idea who this person is!”
“That’s the point.” She leaned right forward and grinned. “You don’t have to worry about ever running into them at the grocery store. Unless you actively decide to meet this person, the chances of you meeting them are basically zero.”
“She’s right,” Immy said, finishing her wine with a nod. “Have your sexting with the stranger and do yourself a favor.”
“Do myself a favor?” I stood to follow them to the front door. “How would that be doing myself a favor?”
Immy shrugged on her sweater. “Push the button, Hannah. Flick the bean. Tiddly your winks.”
“Masturbate,” Fran said brightly as my cheeks burned. “If he wants to sext, at least get yourself something out of it.” She pulled the door open.
“I’m not—I can’t… I am not masturbating to text messages with a stranger!” I cried, following them into the front yard.
Mrs. Keighley, my next-door neighbor, was in her yard watering her flowers even though it was ten p.m. At my words, she froze, drenching one of her beloved rose bushes, then peered at me over the rim of her glasses. “I guess it depends if you know what the stranger looks like, Hannah.”
Once again, my cheeks flamed.
Were all the old people in this town damn horny?

Excerpt
I wasn’t opposed to the occasional drunken one-night stand, but not with Evelyn. We weren’t drunk, and I wasn’t okay with an arbitrary time in the future that I may or may not see her again. “I’ll walk you to your door,” Evelyn said as she turned off her Jeep. “God …” I laughed, shaking my head. “That’s messed up. Now I feel a huge urgency to get my own vehicle. I think I’ll go tomorrow to buy one just so you don’t ever have to walk me to my door again.” She climbed out. “I don’t have to stop at your door. We don’t have to play by the rules of dating. I think we’re past that age. How old are you?” I found her hand and led her to the front door. “Thirty-five.” “I’m thirty-four. Have you ever been married?” We stopped at my door and faced each other. “No. You?” She shook her head. “The rules don’t apply once you’re past thirty.” “The rules?” Evelyn grinned. “The courting shit. The baseball game.” “The baseball game?” My head canted to the side. “Yeah. The sexual bases? First base is kissing. Second base is—” “Yes.” I fished my keys from my pocket. “I’m familiar with the bases.” “Well, I don’t know if you’re a fan of baseball or not, but I am.” I unlocked my door and motioned for her to go inside. She wet her lips and stepped into my condo without an ounce of hesitation. “You’re inviting me in. So you are a fan of baseball.” Not so much. Skiing, football (soccer), rugby, cycling, tennis … but not baseball. However, something told me Evelyn might make me a baseball fan. “Are you sure you’re living here?” She glanced around at the sparse furnishings of my two-bedroom condo. “I never stay in one place long. No need to own much. It’s just that much more to sell or move.” Books. I owned books and a place to sit and read them. My parents didn’t believe in letting Julien and I watch television while we were growing up. Julien embraced art. I embraced fiction—mysteries and sci-fi. “What do you consider not long?” She ran her fingers along the back of my leather recliner before dropping her bag to the floor and slipping off her jacket. “Three to five years is a nice stay.” I tossed my coat onto one of two barstools at my kitchen counter. “Okay. So our marriage will be short.” Her teeth trapped her full bottom lip. “Probably.” I’d dated enough women to know there existed a sequence of events that took place way before the M word should ever be discussed. I’d never reached the point of discussing the M word. Not even with my longest relationship, which lasted two years. Two years and we didn’t talk about marriage. I was out of my realm of experience with Evelyn. We joked about marriage, but who joked about that? Then there was a baseball discussion happening, and I didn’t even like baseball, but I waited with restless anticipation for Evelyn to make her point. Something told me it could be brilliant. “Kenny was a guy I dated my first year in college. He played baseball.” I could not have cared less about this Kenny guy, but he brought her back to the baseball talk, so I folded my arms over my chest, leaned against the counter, and gave her my full attention as she walked in slow circles around my furniture. A predator with calculated moves. Who was I to judge? I walked into her shop that day and basically said we needed to expedite our dating status—laid out my plans to eat dinner with her, close down bars, and sip hot chocolate. “He was a solid hitter. Always got on base, but he never hit a home run. I honestly think he lacked the confidence to go for it. His coaches told him to just get on base, so that’s what he did because that’s what you do when you’re young like that. You spend a lot of time on the bases.” Were we still talking about baseball in the literal sense? “I think once you hit your thirties, no one should judge if you just hit it out of the park your first time up to bat.” Her lips twisted as she stopped in front of me. “The goal is to hit it home. If you can do that, then why the hell not, right?” I thought I understood the metaphor. But if I was wrong, I could get thrown out of the game. “Can I get you a drink?” Evelyn shook her head. My eyes narrowed, studying her for a few seconds. “First base is fine.” She shrugged. Fuck me …

About Doctor Dearest

Natalie   Dr. Easton is part man, part myth. He’s a formidable surgeon. Highly respected in his field. He also happens to be an ex-collegiate quarterback with a classically handsome face. Are you catching on yet? He’s horrible. Beautiful. A walking Ralph Lauren ad. He’s also so off limits he should come with a warning label: This way lies heartache.   Not only is he an attending at the hospital where I’m training, he’s also my brother’s best friend. If you’ve lost count, that’s two reasons why I plan on putting this ridiculous crush behind me. Besides, it’s definitely not mutual.   Dr. Easton has never once paid me special attention. No tempting smirks. Not even one subtle innuendo. To him, I’m just another resident—all but invisible.   Connor   For the last five years, I’ve mentored Natalie in the OR, stayed in line, and kept my hands to myself, but it’s been agonizing.   Natalie is trouble in scrubs. A walking temptation I’ve been forced to ignore.   For so long, I’ve wanted her in silence. By the time fate finally gets around to throwing me a bone, my patience has run out.   Natalie’s brother is leaving town, and he wants me to watch over her while he’s gone.   He has no idea how I feel about her. Neither does she. But she will.   Haven’t you heard good things come to those who wait, Natalie? Well…I’ve done my waiting.

Review
 5* read.
Everytime with this author I always say this book can't beat the last book as I just loved it to much, I also worry that because I've loved every single other book that there will be that one book eventually that I don't like. But then I start reading and I know I'm going to be blown away again and will have a new favourite book to go with all my other favourites by this author (which is every single one). Her characters and their story are addicting and I always want more after finishing it.
This is Natalie and Conner's story. Both are doctors in the same hospital and also the same unit, the burn unit. Also to make things even more complicated Conner is best friends with Natalie's older brother so there is that forbidden side to it aswell. That doesn't stop Natalie from having this massive crush on Connor though so when her brother invites him to stay with her while his house is getting renovated she knows it's going to be even more awkward. I loved the interations between the two of them, the sexual tension/chemistry and banter. I also enjoyed seeing the hospital side of things and learning stuff I didn't know about the burns unit, like how the theatres have to be a higher temperature for the patient.
Another great story by a brilliant author, as always I can't wait for the next one.

A small part of me will always think of him as unattainable. A man I’ve had a crush on for years. A man I’ve watched and wanted from afar. A man who’s friends with my older brother and therefore, inherently off-limits.

Title: Man Crush Monday
Author: Kirsty Moseley
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Release Date: February 3, 2020

"Adorably sweet, incredibly funny and totally astounding!" - Little Steamy Reads "An opposites attract, seemingly unlikely romance that’s a fun read with some unexpected drama. I felt the love and the angst. A great read!" - Keri Loves Books "Man Crush Monday is hands down the best contemporary romance with rom-com vibes, I've recently read." - Bookmarks by Jasmina Blog

Perma-single Amy Clarke prides herself on three things: her pink hair, her Converse collection, and her ability to drink copious amounts of margarita without puking. She isn’t looking for love. She’s perfectly content with her simultaneous love affairs with Netflix and both Ben and Jerry. The trouble is, sometimes, love finds you.
Five months ago, he climbed aboard her train, and nothing has been the same since. Fast-forward to now, she still doesn’t know his name, but she knows she wants his babies.
Her crush—this tall, dark, and handsome dork who gets on her train every other Monday—has no idea he brightens her day with his panty-wetting smile and laugh that makes her pulse quicken.
When a chance encounter outside of workforces them to have their first proper conversation, things quickly go from loving him from afar to up close and very personal. With a string of disastrous exes in her past, has Amy finally found her Mr. Perfect? Or does fate have other plans?
A new stand-alone romcom from Kirsty Moseley, best-selling author of The Boy Who Sneaks in My Bedroom Window and Nothing Left to Lose.

 5* read.
I've really missed this author's work so was really looking forward to reading this, and I'm glad to say I wasn't disappointed. It is slightly different to her other books in that its a romantic comedy, but boy it was sooo good. I found myself both laughing and crying throughout and could not put it down.
I'm going to keep my review on the actual story and characters quite vague and short so as to not give away any spoilers. Don't worry once you read the book you will realised why I'm doing this. What I will say is that I loved Amy. Her clumsy faults were what made this book so funny. The whole story was both fresh and unique and had me hooked from the first few chapters. I literally couldn't put it down and it was a great distraction from my everyday life at the minute after my Grandad dying.
It's been a long wait for this authors next book, but it was worth it. I hope the next book isn't as long as I love her work. This is a must buy, you won't be disappointed.

Kirsty Moseley has always been a passionate reader since she was a little girl, devouring books overnight, barely sleeping and paying for it at school the next day. Writing has come similarly to her and once she discovered Wattpad, she finally plucked up the courage to post one of her stories. Seven million reads later, she self-published her debut novel THE BOY WHO SNEAKS IN MY BEDROOM WINDOW, which later became one of 10 Finalists for the 2012 Goodreads' Choice Awards, Best YA Fiction. Shocked and overwhelmed by the response, she published her second novel ALWAYS YOU a few months later and hasn’t looked back.
If she had to sum herself up in one word, it would probably be 'daydreamer' - but unlike most of her school teachers, she doesn't necessarily view that as a bad thing. After all, she read somewhere once that books are like waking dreams....
She lives in Norfolk, England with her husband and son.
